Port Royal Real Estate

From its inception in 1938, Port Royal was created supremely as a luxury home community, gentleman by the name of John Glen Sample started buying parcels of vacant land, molding it into an exclusive, high-end waterfront community. Those who purchased in Port Royal were carefully selected.

If Mr. Sample did not approve of a Port Royal residents attire, demeanor, manner and what not, then they would not be approved for home ownership in Port Royal. Today, a scant few of these luxury homes still are standing, with many having been torn down and replaced with more opulent homes built to withstand the elements according to modern day building codes.

Builders and architects who wish to build in Port Royal must obtain approval to build by the Port Royal Property Owners Association prior to commencement. The PRPOA is dedicated and committed to ensure that construction and property development within Port Royal is consistent and maintained according to the discerning taste in which Port Royal homes have been so well-renowned for. Port Royal's exclusive club is the Port Royal Club, which was financed in 1959 by Mr. Sample.

The cost was approximately $1 million to build back in the day, roughly $7 million if it were to be constructed today and it was and still is the hub of the elite in Port Royal. The club's amenities are exceptional and provides uncompromised service to all its members. Port Royal offers deep-water access to the Gulf of Mexico via Gordon Pass, making a trip to the Ten Thousand Islands or Keeywayd in an easy reach. Port Royal is in close proximity to all in which Naples has to offer, and is minutes from the cultural and shopping mecca of 5th Avenue South and 3rd Street South.
